Laniakea

   Located at the North Shore of the island, Laniakea Beach is one of the best places to see turtles in O'ahu. Laniakea is a great beach to relax, sit at the shore to watch the waves, and enjoy the sun. Here, turtles are on the coast nearly every day but don't get too close to them. By law, we are supposed to stay 10 feet away. If you would like to learn more about the green turtles' protection law, click here. You can snorkel with them at a safe distance so, make sure to bring your snorkeling equipment and a waterproof camera like GoPro or Fujifilm XP130 to save those memories!



   
   The green sea turtles, or honu like to visit Laniakea Beach because it has rocks with plentiful algae, which the love to eat.

   Koko Crater Trail, also know as "Koko Head Stairs" is a short but challenging hike. It's an old military rail system that was used to carry supplies to the top. It is no longer in use. It serves as a rewarding hike with impressive panoramic views of Hanauma Bay and the Southside of O'ahu.     The trail is mostly composed of old train tracks that guide you up to the crater. Koko Head Trail is considered a short-hike as it is less than one mile long; however, it is a demanding hike.
